Name: Rosabella Jäger
Age: 23

Rosabella sat in the middle of the room, her feet and tail tucked in around her. She gazed up at the people sitting before her, wondering if they were going to tell her why she had been summoned to their territory. It was rare for felines of one clan to call upon the help of another. Rosabella’s clan wasn’t one of the more well-known, but it was still known.

The Jäger clan was small but slowly growing. It was well known for its ability to produce some of the best hunters. They could track and kill/kidnap anyone. It was perhaps one of the many reasons it had stayed one of the more favored clans during the rebellion. Rosabella closed her eyes in sympathy for those lost on what now seemed a hopeless cause. They opened as she was finally spoken too.

“Do you know why you have been called here, Rosabella of the panther clan?” The head of house asked, gazing down on her as if she were no more than a tool used for their benefit. It wasn’t a lie, she couldn’t dispute the fact that she was being used to their benefit. She was going to do as they told her; because if she didn’t, not only would she suffer but those in his clan would as well.

“No, sir.” She replied, making sure to keep her tone polite and respectful. They were always touchy about such things. It was annoying how one being could demand such things when they themselves didn’t give it. She would have compared them to humans, if it hadn’t been insulting to her own species.

“We want you to track someone and bring them back to us. Alive would be the only way to receive the other half of the payment.” A brief case was placed in front of her and opened. She glanced down at the money, instantly estimating 20,000 in USA currency.

Damn, the person must be important if they were willing to give her that much as half. “Then alive they shall be. Do you have a picture and a item of clothing that hasn’t been washed?”

She got a weird look at the last one, but she knew what she was doing. There was a reason she was the most called upon in her clan. Her father had trained Rosabella to even better than himself. She was the best. She had yet to find someone better. When she did, she often asked them to train her. They often did because she had such promise, other times they refused simply because they didn’t want her to become better than them.

The items were placed in front of her and nodded. “If there is nothing else, then I’ll begin.”

She left when they dismissed her, and took the items with her. She would give all but the money back. It was now her to do with as she pleased. She wouldn’t use it until his target was in the correct place. It never hurt to be cautious. She glanced at the picture, memorizing the picture to memory. Where would someone who looked as such be hiding?

Sitting in his bed chamber, staring out the window, gazing upon the land before him. He sighed to himself, quietly, even though he is alone. Most days he was alone, trapped in his quarters. He heard very little from his father, but what he did hear was full of anger and disapproval. His midnight hair hung in his face, hiding his eyes. Those icy blue hues always seemed to be staring around. He stood up from his window, thinking to himself, pacing around the room. He needed fresh air, he needed a fresh start. But how? He was heir to one of he most known feline clans of the century. His ancestors had started the rebellion years and years before even his grandfather was thought of. After each passing of the throne, it had been passed down to the first born son.

Lennox was his father's first born.

But nothing was ever good enough. There was so much pressure, so much stress. Everything would be resting on the young prince's shoulders in just a few short years time. His father was growing old, not weak, but soon he wouldn't be able to lead anymore rebellious strikes on their many many foes. Lennox was primarily cared for by servants and helpers alike. They fed him, washed him, changed his bed sheets, washed his clothes, cleaned after him, taught him his school work, taught him fighting skills, taught him hunting skills. Everything he needed to know, was taught to him from a servant. Never his father, never his family. Although he was never completely alone, he felt that way.

A light knock came at his door. He sat back down at his window sill and muttered, "come in." The servant entered with a silver platter covered by silver top. Lennox did not look at him, just whispered, "thank you Damien, that is all." With that being said, Damien bowed to his master and quietly left the room, closing the doors behind him. Once the servant was gone, Lennox walked over to the silver tray on his desk. He lifted the lid and stared down at his meal. Fresh baked trout, a small side salad, a glass of water with 3 ice cubes as he had always drank his whole life. He sighed. Lunch was almost always the same. For once he wanted to try something new. Maybe something not presented on silver, but he knew no other way. Without touching anything he walked back to his window and stared once again.

He stared down at his father's stable, watching the servants shoveling poop, feeding, and brushing the horses. Lennox dreamed of leaving the palace, bounding over the walls, and making a new life for himself. And that was exactly what he was going to do. A smile finally appeared over his cheeks. Tonight would be the night he would leave. Tonight his new life would start.

He decided he would not pack too much. He found some old clothes that looked ripped and torn. He took his sheets from his bed and tied them together, spreading them out as much as he could. Five stories would b very hard to climb down, but once he got to the vines near the third floor, it would be easy. He quietly opened his window and looked down towards the ground. No sign of anybody anywhere. The smile returned. He tied the sheets to the bed frame and flung the rest out his window. He walked to his desk, grabbing his only gift from his father, his dagger. It had been in the family for generations. He grabbed his few belongings and grabbed onto his sheets. He scaled down them until he made it to the vines. As he held onto the trellis, he climbed down a whole lot faster. When he was finally on the ground, he crouched behind a shrub. He watched patiently for one of the guards to march around the property as they did every night. When the guard finally walked by him, he moved towards the wall. It wouldn't be rough for him to climb over it.

As he climbed the wall, he turned and looked at his childhood home. Maybe this was a bad idea? Maybe he should just go back and act like nothing happened? No. He had gone this far already and freedom was just a few feet away. He turned towards his future and jumped from the wall. As he landed on the ground, feeling free dirt under the pads of his feet, he couldn't help but smile. But there was no time to celebrate. He only had a few more hours of night to get as far away from his past as possible.

He had no coin. He had no identification. When he came across some mud, he smeared it all over himself, giving that grungy and dirty look to him. With his dagger, he ripped and cut more of his clothes. He also grabbed hold of his long flowing midnight hair, and cut it short, but still long enough to cover those beautiful icy blue hues. When he was finished, he continued on foot. He walked until he finally found a quiet place to lay his head and sleep.

When he woke in the morning, he heard birds chirping and the chatter of the village people. He got up and started walking amongst the crowds, watching people barter and haggle. It was fascinating to him. Truly amazing. He saw fresh fruit stands and knew instantly that he wanted to taste it. When he reached into his pocket for money, he remembered he had taken no coins. He was broke. For once in his life, he was poor. He thought back to his skills he learned from his childhood and sneaking was one he learned well. He crouched in the crowd, hidden by all the folks and traders. His one tiny hand slid over a piece of fruit and quickly placed it inside his torn top. As he moved from the scene of the crime, he tasted his first fresh fruit. It was juicy and delicious, way better than any fish he had ever eaten.

This was the life. This was Prince Lennox's new life. No longer a Prince in his mind. Now he was a thief!

Rosabella closed her eyes and exhaled deeply. If she were a rich kid who wanted to disappear in a crowd of commoners, she'd try and look like them. Which meant, that he wouldn't really look like the picture. He would either cut that beautiful hair, or he'd find a way to make himself look different. One might go from extremely rich and try to stay in such a position, being the naive sort; or one might go to being poor and fitting in. This one looked to be very smart, but that didn't mean anything. She'd try the alleyways first, see if he was already dead or not.

They couldn't deny her, her money if the person was already dead before she had reached him. She just hoped that wasn't the case, because he was very pleasing to look at. She placed the picture into her little pouch and set off into the streets. They had told her he had taken no money. He would probably want food soon, if he hadn't taken any already. She'd try the food courts after the alleys. She'd ask around. She wondered how tall he was. Definitely taller than her 5' 4" but she had a place to start. She made her way to the alleys, wondering if the people there would talk to her. They tend to defend their own and unless he had made friends in the time he had left home, then they should be willing to talk to her.

She walked through the alley first, looking carefully at the dirt smudged faces. Anyone could tell what she was and why she was there. She wasn't exactly trying to hide just yet. She could be looking for anyone. She stopped one person, whom she had spoken to before and showed the picture. Her informant hadn't seen anything. Sighing, she continued her search.

Lennox had been free for almost twelve hours now. It felt great. He had never been happier. Anything he wanted, he stole and got away with it. Anything he wanted to do, he did. There was nobody to question or control him. He was his own person. Lennox sighed as he stretched his arms out wide, breathing in that city air. He coughed a couple of times and wandered down a cobblestone path. As he reached the end, he found a nice river to sit by. He placed his feet in the water and watched the fish swim past him. All he could do was smile.

Rosabella sat down on the dirty street, not caring about her clothes. She had just spent the last few hours searching the alleys. No one had seen him, or so they claimed. Now, she was stuck at the beginning. She tugged at her hair, making some of the strands fall loose. It gave her a slightly less proper look while making her seem more innocent. Now, she should try the market area.

With a silent groan, she pushed herself off the ground. She let the dirt cling to her as she made her way through the crowd. She didn't look homeless, but she didn't look rich either. As she entered the market area she smiled at the smells, sights, and sounds. She had always loved coming to the market as a child. She had learned to steal because her father thought it a necessary skill. She walked up to the food section first. Her target had to eat and most vendors would know if their food had been stolen, even if they didn't catch the person doing it.

"Excuse me, I'm looking for someone. He ran away and I was wondering if any of your stock had gone missing within the last twelve hours." She explained as a burly looking man with a bear ears turned towards her. She smiled as he glared at her.

"Is this person in any relation to you?" He growled, though that could have been the normal way he talked. He grunted as she shook her head. "Yeah, some of my stock has gone missing and an unknown feline scent was here a few hours ago. It disappeared as the crowd rushed in."

"Thank you." She said with a wave before heading off in the direction away from town. If he had eaten, then he'd head somewhere out of town to simply enjoy his freedom. She sighed, glancing out over the land. Her eyes fell onto the lake and a smile split across her face. He'd also go somewhere that he would be able to clean himself. Surely someone from such a rich family could only stand being dirty for so long. She rushed down to the side of the river, slowing so she could enjoy the walk towards the lake.

As the sun beat down on Lennox, he decided to go for a swim. Little did he know the current was way too strong for him to be able to control where he was going. But he was free, so he didn't give a shit where he went. He had nowhere to be, nowhere he had to be, and no time constraint. All he did was keep his head above the water and smile, sometimes a laugh would escape his lips. Being free was the best thing he could ever ask for.

Rosabella could hear the muttered whispers around her as they asked each other where she was from. She smirked, knowing no one would really know unless they had used her services before and even then people remained silent. To be a good tracker, especially a tracker of living things, you couldn't let yourself be known by the public. She didn't stop to speak with the people of the village, and when she did, she kept her speech formal and strict. It often deterred other's from inviting or remembering her name, not that she ever gave it unless she knew she was speaking to the person again.

She lifted her hands above her head as she stretched, noticing someone kicking at the riverside. A male, from the shape of him, but she couldn't know if he was homeless unless she asked him. She paused, wondering if she should. Deciding she should, she began to walk towards him. Just as she was within calling distance he jumped into the water. Rosabella simply stared in shock. No one was dumb enough to jump into the river, not during the months of rain. It clicked in her head that perhaps that was her target, from the way the person was laughing, but then she couldn't be sure and the river pooled out into the lake her original destination. Unless the male got out before the lake, she could find him. Determined, she set off at a quicker pace.

The water carried him down the stream. All the while, there was no worry or fear, just pure excitement. But then the water sounded terrifying. He could hear water crashing on the rocks below. Lennox tried to swim to the edge, grabbing hold of a root. The root was sturdy enough for a little while, but soon found himself being taken up by the water. The root broke and the waves just washed over him, forcing his feline body down the falls. Sure the fall wasn't very big, but it was enough to frighten him. But when he finally stopped moving and fell into the lake, he was happy again.
